Three-day seminar SIQUA in the counseling center for migrants and migrant women
Professional competence in dealing with migrants is an important factor in counseling and support – that is why the Counseling Center for Migrants is again conducting the SIQUA (Sensitization Information Qualification) training in May 2023.
Main topics:
o Strengthening and expanding intercultural action competencies
o Imparting relevant knowledge in connection with migration and flight
Topics covered include the legal framework, global migration and its dynamics and effects on Austria, violence against migrant women, and an overview of the theoretical concepts of cultural dimensions and cultural standards used to describe cultural differences.
The seminar is aimed at employees of AMS Vienna, adult vocational education and care institutions of the City of Vienna with the goal of expanding intercultural competencies.
